[edit] How to help
- If you know C, you can submit patches to fix bugs and implement new features. Take a look through the TODO list for ideas, or search the source for messages like "FIXME" and "TODO".
- If not, the next best thing is a clear, well-written bug report, preferably with a reproducible test case.
- Anybody can help with the documentation, either by adding new pages or keeping the existing ones up-to-date. If you don't get wiki markup, or if your English is not so great, don't worry! Someone can fix it later.
- Lurk! Hang around on the message board and/or on IRC. An open-source project is all about its community; if nobody seems to be using the program, there's not much motivation for development.
- Monetary donations are accepted. Donating to the developers gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling, and as a byproduct we get a bit of extra money. This allows us to buy anime, new hardware for testing, fund web hosting costs, and bribe the neighbors so they don't call the cops when we have the speakers turned up too loud. PayPal button here.
