Cheesetracker
From SDWiki
Cheesetracker was one of the first trackers that recognized the importance of, and attempted to emulate the Impulse Tracker experience, whatever that was.The early versions of Cheesetracker used GTK, but a number of factors conspired to it being rewritten in QT. If development hadn't been abandoned in favor of Chibi, odds have it that Cheesetracker would be rewritten in Motif.
In actuality, Cheestracker was probably a better Modplug clone than a Impulse Tracker clone: where Impulse Tracker disagreed with other trackers, conventions, or even logic, Cheesetracker tended to a more reasoned approach.
Schism Tracker on the other hand, was patterned after Impulse Tracker, and with very little exception, only where it was completely impractical (short file names, for example), or where it could otherwise be completely backwards compatible did it deviate.
